The Keleher Research Group at Lewis University

Welcome to the Keleher Research Group

The focus of the Keleher Research Group is on the synthesis, characterization, and elucidation of key interfacial reaction mechanisms related to nanocomposite materials. The applications range from antimicrobial wound management materials, biomimetic polymer composites for solar powered water purification, molecular level polymer/nanoparticle interactions relevant to advanced filtration technologies, development of photoactive nanocomposite materials for aviation safety applications, and electrochemical analysis of the Chemical Mechanical Planarization process relevant to the development of next generation semiconductor devices. Our approach relies heavily on the fundamental principles of organic, inorganic, electrochemistry, photochemistry, supramolecular, and nanochemistry while creating a bridge between areas such as biology, physics, material science, and engineering.
