Measure 1: Impact that completers' teaching has on P-12 learning and development
The provider documents multiple growth measures that completers contribute to student learning.

Measure 2: Indicators of teaching effectiveness
The provider demonstrates that completers effectively apply the professional knowledge, skills, and dispositions that the preparation experiences were designed to achieve.

Measure 3: Results of employer surveys, and including retention and employment milestones
The provider demonstrates that employers are satisfied with completers’ preparation and that completers reach employment milestones such as promotion and retention.

- Employer Survey
- Surveys are sent annually to building and district level administrators. The survey asks administrators to collectively assess Lewis graduates on their performance and impact on student’s learning and development.
- Retention and Employment Milestones
- Completers are surveyed annual to measure their retention in the field of education and employment milestones.
Measure 4: Results of completer surveys
The provider demonstrates that program completers perceive their preparation as relevant to the responsibilities they confront on the job, and that the preparation was effective.

- Partnership for Educator Preparation – ISBE administered survey administered to individuals at the time of application for receiving their first professional educator License.
- Completer Survey – a survey of in-service teachers and administers one year after completion from an educator licensure program at Lewis University. The survey solicits responses from graduates of the education department on how their respective program of study prepared them to be effective educators. The survey items are aligned to the inTASC standards.
