Welcome to Lewis University! On behalf of the College of Education, I would like to welcome you to the site that where you can find information on how our education candidates perform on state and local assessments that demonstrate their readiness to take their places as professional educators in the field.  The College of Education has a very comprehensive assessment system that looks at content and pedagogical knowledge, dispositions and orientation to multicultural education and social justice.
 
We are greatly indebted to the many school district partners that provide classrooms and access to the very best mentors for field and clinical experiences, practica and internships.  We rely heavily on our Education Advisory Board for their input on what is needed to develop the best education professionals and to help guide curriculum for our programs.

We believe that as campus and off-campus constituent groups review performance data, discuss and suggest program improvements, our College will remain poised to ensure that we provide all our candidates with the best possible education and that they complete their programs ready to tackle the challenges of today’s education landscape.  After all, teachers and school professionals impact our nation’s future because of their impact on the most valued asset – our children.
